Ever since 2001 with the release of her debut album 'A Love Story', I have been hooked on the vocal candy that is Vivian Green. It was the tracks Fanatic, Emotional Rollercoaster and What is Love that drew me in like a magnet, and from that moment on I have loved checking out the new music that she has had to offer.
In April 2009 it was announced that Vivian signed a 3 album deal with E1 music, so hopefully this new track is the prelude to a 2010 record??
Something we just can't get enough of is the new joint from Grammy-nominated, Philadelphia-bred producer and DJ Vikter Duplaix entitled 'Electric Love'. Co-written with James Poyser it is another fantastic example of the sexy-soul that is very much his trademark. Below is the this new joint and also a classic that he made a few years ago called 'Make A Baby'
Look out for the upcoming album 'Love Machine' which should be released sometime this year.
If the reports are right, it is not too far away from the release of the new Erykah Badu album. As you can see from the trackliing below, she is joined by some very talented musicians that should deliver the goods.

A 20-year-old singer, born in south-east London to a choir-singing Jamaican mother and a Persian artist father. Earlier this month, she was snapped up by Rough Trade records.
Her sound is amazing and she is definately one to watch in 2010..
Towards the end of 2009 I saw some tracks poppin’ up by a collective called ‘The Crowd’ which have been touching my groove strings.
The Crowd is a trio that consists of two Emcees (Akil Dasan & Randy Mason) and a female vocalist (Adeline). their music is an exciting new style of Hip-Hop-Pop that combines with some very cool soul vocals.
The group have been playing some awesome gigs around NYC and below is another great performance taken from ‘The Harlem Stage’.
If you are yet to discover the new Eric Roberson album 'Music Fan First' here is another fantastic track from it that will be sure to make this the next album added to your collection. The video was produced by Chris & Blaq of Impakt Studio.

I know I am not the only one who grew up enjoying the smooth sounds of Sade. Ever since their 1984 debut of Diamond Life a worldwide following has graced the group as they made their mark with smooth soulful sounds. Along the way they have earned a platter of award and sold more than 50 million albums (not too shabby).
On February 8 2010 and ten years since the last album, the group will release a new studio album entitled ‘Soldier Of Love’. The album was recorded in England and produced by the band and their longtime collaborator Mike Pela.

As promised from our November blog, Trish Andrews has finished the video for the brand new single 'Back To You'. The song covers the sometimes difficult relationship of career progression while trying to balance precious relationships.
Coming from the debut record 'These Five Words' ... check it out we recommend it.
In an attempt to solidify the memory of Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, a decision has been made to bring out an album that effectively remix's the stars tracks she previously released. Now maybe I am a little bit of a purist but I believe that in most cases when an artist passes, it seems a shame to re-work their tracks as the end product comes out different to what the artist would have wanted.
Some of the artists who have jumped on board this album to add their own touches include: Chamillionaire, Bone Crusher, Missy Elliott, Bobby Valentino, Chilli, T-Boz, Wanya Morris, Lil Mama, Reigndrop Lopes, Free, Ryan Toby, and Claudette Ortiz. The good news out from this is that a percentage of the proceeds from the album sales will go to the Lisa Lopes Foundation and her orphanage in Honduras. All in all this album doesn't do too much for me but in saying that there is one track that I am currently hooked to..
After her awesome 2008 debut 'Just Say' through UK label, Tru Thoughts, it is time for the fantastic follow up entitled 'Made of Stone'.
Although the music is cool as mustard, it makes it even cooler that Kylie hails from Melbourne. She has and continues to sing with Melbourne Funk band, The Bamboos, who also provided the backing for the tracks on the record.
As with Just Say, Made of Stone is co-written and produced by Bamboos lead guitarist, Lance Ferguson (AKA Lanu).
We recommend that you purchase a copy of the album or if you wish to read more about Kylie, head to http://kylieauldist.com/
